When to book this service

Smell, taste or colour changed

If the water suddenly smells, tastes metallic or looks cloudy, a test tells you what is actually in it instead of guessing.

Before and after a tank clean

Some owners test before and after a clean or a new coating to see the difference in black and white.

Landlords and building managers

A lab report is useful when a tenant raises a concern or when a building wants a record of its water tank maintenance.

Water quality testing in Dubai is how you replace an impression with facts. The water looks a bit cloudy, the kettle scales quickly or there is a smell from the shower, and the question is whether the tank, the pipes or the supply is behind it. A laboratory test does not fix anything, but it tells you what you are dealing with.

How testing is arranged

We do not test water ourselves. When you ask for a test, we pass your request to a partner company that works with an independent laboratory. The company agrees with you which parameters to test, takes the samples in sterile bottles from the tank or the taps, and delivers them to the lab within the required time. The lab issues a written report, and the company explains what it shows in plain language.

What is usually tested

Common panels look at bacteria indicators, turbidity, pH, residual chlorine, hardness and dissolved solids. Wider panels add metals or other parameters. Which ones make sense depends on your question, so tell the company what prompted the test: a smell, a colour, a new tank or a routine check.

Reason for testing Typical sample point
Smell or colour in the tank Tank
Taste at the kitchen tap Kitchen tap
After cleaning or coating Tank, after refilling
Routine record for a building Tank and a tap

A careful word on results

A lab report shows measured values and usually compares them with reference limits. It is not a medical assessment, and we do not give health advice. If a result is outside the limits, the usual next steps are water tank cleaning, water tank disinfection and a retest. If anyone feels unwell, speak to a doctor.

Testing with a clean

Testing just before and a few days after a clean shows whether the tank was the source of the problem. If you have a concrete tank below ground, include it with underground tank cleaning. Get a quote and mention what prompted the test.

What the visit includes

  • Agreeing which parameters to test with the lab
  • Sampling from the tank or taps in sterile bottles
  • Transport to an independent laboratory

Frequently asked questions

How much does a water test cost?

As an indication, a basic lab test arranged through a partner company starts from AED 300. Wider panels cost more; the lab or the company confirms the price for the parameters you choose.

Do you test the water yourselves?

No. We are a referral service. The test is arranged by a partner company and carried out by an independent laboratory, which issues the report.

Will the report tell me if the water is safe to drink?

The report shows the measured values and usually compares them with reference limits. It is not medical advice. If you have health concerns, discuss them with a doctor or the relevant authority.

Should I test the tank or the tap?

Both can be useful. A tank sample shows the stored water; a tap sample also reflects the pipes and any filters. Ask the company which fits your question.
